Public Holidays in India

Lohri

13 Jan 2017

Lohri (13 January) is the winter bonfire festival of Punjab and parts of North India. Families gather around the fire, offer sesame, jaggery, and peanuts, and sing traditional songs. It marks the end of the coldest days and the beginning of the harvest season.
